Bears and Wolves from Pack 99 Complete a Service Project at Clark Nature Center

The bears and wolves spotted at the Clark Nature Center were doing a good turn in the community.

Bears were spotted in the woods at Clark Nature Center in Newtown on Saturday March 25. Wolves were observed near the center’s herb garden that day as well.

These bears and wolves were from Pack 99 and they were doing a good turn in the community. The cub scouts, along with their den leaders and den chiefs from Troop 99, spent a morning in the center completing a service project.

Cubmaster Tony Gambescia explained “The cub scouts weeded the herb garden, mulched between the beds, cleared the front entrance of the herb garden, mulched several trails, and cleared debris from trail entrances.”

Participating in the event from the bear den were Mason Ambs, Romen Burns, Benjamin Eayre, Mark Gambescia, Michael Mehnert, Xander Seeds and Jack Sprague; from the wolf den Yannick Ramanujam, Ottavio Silvestri, Thomas Bates, Casey Morton, Ryan Leung, Ryan Bukowski, Matthew Crane, John Stefano, Haree Kumar and Alex Manna. webelos scout Logan Ambs and den chiefs AJ Fiore, Tony Gambescia and Shree Kumar assisted the bears and wolves with this project.
