Bensalem PD K9 Wins "America's Top Dog" Episode, Heads to Finals

Bowie, a K9 from the Bensalem Police Department won his episode of "Americas Top Dog" and moved on to the finals for the chance to win $25k.

Officer Robert Schwarting and his K9 dog Bowie of the Bensalem Police Department won their episode of the A&E series "America's Top Dog" and won $15,000 for their charity of choice: Women's Animal Center, located in Bensalem.

The pair was selected by Top Dog producers to represent the east coast in a intense competition that tests the K9s senses, skills and abilities in several different obstacle courses. The pair went up against 4 other dog and officer pairs, made it to the final round and took home the title.

The pair will now move on the the Finals where they will compete against other episode winners for the chance to win $25,000 and the title of "America's Top Dog" that episode is scheduled to premiere this spring.

This is not the first time the pair has won something. They have previously won awards and been recognized for their hard work and dedication and now they add another trophy to their collection.

"America's Top Dog" airs Wednesdays at 9pm on A&E.
