Highs In The 50s Later This Week

The warmest weather in weeks is headed our way. We may climb close to 60 degrees by late week. Here's the local forecast:

After one of the coldest starts to January on record, the warmest weather in several weeks is headed toward Eastern Pennsylvania.

Temperatures should climb to over 40 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service. While Wednesday's high will be in the upper 30s, temperatures Thursday will be in the upper 40s and Friday's high will be — gasp! — in the upper 50s.

But don't make outside plans just yet. "“This will not be a dry warmup,” AccuWeather Lead Long-Range Meteorologist Paul Pastelok said in a news release. Rain is possible Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
