Bluemercury Now Open On State Street In Newtown

Bluemercury, a beauty shop and spa, opened Friday on State Street.

The store sells a variety of cosmetics and makeup, and the Newtown location will have an in-house spa that offers skin care treatments.

The store is one of 40 new locations the chain is opening this year, Barry Beck, co-founder of the chain, told the Newtown Advance.

Beck told the publication out of those 40, the Newtown location is the one he is most excited about.

“I feel like this store in Newtown is emblematic about everything Bluemercury stands for,” he was quoted as saying.

Owned by Macy's Inc., Bluemercury currently operates more than 120 locations nationwide.
