Board Member Wants to Vote to Close Wrightstown Elementary on Nov. 6
Other Council Rock Board Members did not agree with Patty Sexton's aggressive approach.

Council Rock School Board member Patty Sexton said she wants to see the board vote to close Wrightstown Elementary School at a meeting on Nov. 6.
That’s when the board is expected to vote on elements that will make up a capital plan for the future of the district.
Additionally, Sexton, who has been a vocal supporter of closing Wrighststown Elementary despite recommendations to the contrary by the district administration, said she wants the board to vote to remove trailers and redistrict all in time for next fall.

“I think we can do it all,” said Sexton, who represents Northampton’s 7th region.
Sexton’s statements were prompted by a comment by board member Richard Abramson, who said she seemed to be doing a lot of criticizing without offering clear solutions.

Other board members did not agree with Sexton’s aggressive approach.
Andy Block, board vice president, said while there is a possibility that a school may be closed in the future, it seemed premature to make such a decision at this point.
Kyle McKessy said the board should be mindful of how much change the community could endure at once.
