NEWTOWN, PA — Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila! at the Village at Newtown will debut its "cheeky" new look and personality with an open house celebration from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 24.

The public is invited to enjoy complimentary tastings of the restaurant’s new dishes, tequila tastings and specialty cocktail samples by Kevin Hart’s Gran Coramino Tequila (ages 21+), non-alcoholic beverages, a certificate for a free taco on a future visit, and a spin on Bomba’s prize wheel.

No invitation, registration or fee is required to attend, however, guests who do register in advance by clicking here and attend will also receive a $20 Bomba gift voucher (minimum purchase of $50 required). Other activities will include music, games, and photos with dancing taco characters.

The event is designed to show off the new "Bomba" with its updated decor, improved and expanded private event spaces and group dining menus, new sound systems, bar games, and an abundance of TVs for showcasing sports and other viewing.

Since Bomba ¡Tacos + Tequila!’s acquisition in late March 2025, GuestCounts Hospitality, the company behind Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, has undertaken a top-to-bottom brand overhaul of the suburban taco brand, turning the somewhat staid concept into a cheeky neighborhood taco and tequila spot, with new menus, which introduce Birria, El Jefe Platos (dinner entrees) and a monthly “Test Kitchen” as new categories.

The new Bomba has doubled down on tequila, the fastest growing spirit in the U.S., now offering more than 50 premium and super premium tequilas and mezcals, displaying them prominently in the dining room and featuring them as flights, specialty margaritas, craft cocktails and as a zero proof tequila cocktail on its new drink menu.

The decor of the new Bombas expresses the brand’s sense of humor through cheeky taco and tequila witticisms graphically displayed on walls, windows and staff t-shirts, as well as a collection of hundreds more rotating on video displays in the dining rooms. Guests can now step into interactive angel wing murals (including one sized for “little angels”) to share their photos online and tell their Bomba stories.

As part of the remodeling, Bomba’s bar areas have been reconfigured to attract bar guests with the addition of bar games such as foosball and darts, additional TVs and seven-day-a-week happy hours.

Bomba’s new programming also includes a weekly appetite challenge in its Sunday Man vs. Tacos all-you-can-eat $19 deal, and a trivia challenge in its Thursday evening Jeopardy! Bar League beginning January 22 in Newtown. See details on these and more on Bomba’s weekly programming schedule.

At Bomba Newtown, a new side patio offers an unobstructed view of the mini-amphitheater at the Village at Newtown.

Bomba has also enhanced its appeal as a place for celebrations - birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and the like - with staff creating experiences well beyond candles and birthday serenades. Bomba’s Original Campfire S’Mores Churro Waffle Sundaes can be ordered “Bomba style”, with shooting sparklers, a personalized marquee sign and choice of soundtrack. For larger parties, Bomba has significantly expanded its private event menus and enhanced its private and semi-private spaces. The Porch at each location now transitions seasonally from open-sided to fully enclosed, accommodating up to 75 guests.
