To the person who painted “GAY AND PROUD” on the sidewalk in Tyler Walk:
You are right to be proud of whom you are, but if you were truly proud, you would not feel the need to wait for darkness and spray your assertion secretively, vandalizing our neighborhood in the process. You should feel good about all of your God-given or hard-earned attributes. I don’t know you, but along with being gay, you may also be intelligent, funny, generous, shy, artistic, athletic…. whatever, be proud. Do so by representing yourself well, not by defacing public property.
If you want to express yourself, try blogging.
