Do You Tweet?

I am often amused by this question when talking with some Newtown residents as if it might be the new "what's your sign?" conversational starter.

In fact, Twitter is only used by 11% of the US population and it is most favored by the "digital native" demograhpic sector.  It is most popular in urban centers.  However, the use of mobile devices will continue to change the way your customers seek and accept information--even here on State Street!

So, if you are a local business and interested in grabbing a bigger share of the increasing numbers of new "digital natives" coming into our town every day, what does this mean to you?

Next time you are out in one of our local spots take the time to watch what people--especially those under 30--are doing.  Their mobile devices are usually out and they are often searching for something to do, or buy, in the local area.
