Davis Vs. Joseph: Recount Requested In Newtown Supervisors Race

A recount has been requested in the Nov. 3 election for Newtown Township Supervisor.
According to unofficial race results, Mark Joseph trailed Kyle Davis by 19 votes in the race for Newtown Township Supervisor.
Petitions to open ballot boxes and recount votes were filed through attorney Dave Sander on Nov. 23 with the Bucks County Prothonatary’s office, Joseph’s campaign said.

According to information from Joseph’s campaign, 24 electors, three from each of the township’s eight voting districts, have filed a petition calling for a recount of the votes.
Judge Fritsch has ordered a hearing for Thursday, December 3, 2015 “to determine the manner in which the subject votes shall be recounted and/or to conduct the requested recount,” Joseph’s campaign said in an email.

A total of 4,189 votes were cast in the recent race for Newtown Township Supervisor.
