Bridge Reopens On 2nd Street Pike In Wrightstown: PennDOT
Excellent news for those of you in Wrightstown: the bridge on 2nd Street Pike by the CVS is now open.

We have some excellent news for Wrightstown residents: The bridge on Second Street Pike by the CVS is now open, PennDOT announced.
The bridge, which goes over Mill Creek, had been closed for repairs since February. It reopened Wednesday, PennDOT said.
While it was closed, a PennDOT contractor worked to rehabilitate the bridge. Work included removing arch fill material and replacing it with lightweight concrete, reinforcing the walls and barrier, repointing masonry of the arch barrel and support abutments, and replacing guide rail, PennDOT said.

Built in 1852, the one-span structure is 14 feet long, 40 feet wide, and carries an average of 5,802 vehicles a day, according to PennDOT.
Following its rehabilitation, the bridge is no longer posted for weight ton restrictions.
