BSA Washington Crossing Council Cub Scouts "Take Flight"

Cub scouts from Washington Crossing Council recently participated in camp at Core Creek Park in Langhorne.

Thirty three adult volunteers and 10 Den Chiefs led a group of 124 cubs and their siblings through a week of activities around the theme of “Take Flight”.

Campers spent their days playing games, learning about science, and riding a zip line. They enjoyed a visit from Langhorne-Middletown Fire Company which taught the cubs how to escape a burning building and then turned the water on them at cool everyone off. One popular station at the camp was the STEM table where instructor Audrey Donaghy challenged the budding MacGyvers to create a Rube Goldberg machine from ordinary household objects with a goal of getting a marble into a cup.
