Bucks Co. Tavern Holding Night Of Giving For Victims Of Devastating Fire

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — The Wycombe Tavern and Grille will be holding a special Night of Giving this week for the Ferrari family whose home was devastated by fire earlier this month.

On Wednesday from 4 p.m. until closing, tavern owner Therese Albertini said she will be opening up the entire restaurant, including its main dining room, recently renovated upstairs loft and outside patio, for the fundraiser.

Sharon and Nicholas Ferrari and their three young children were at home on Cherry Lane when fire broke out in the early morning hours of July 10. The family escaped with their lives, but the flames devastated their home, leaving them with nothing.

"It's extremely unfortunate what happened to them and we wanted to do whatever we could as a member of the community to help this young family," said Dean Diaz-Albertini, the restaurant's COO and son of the owner. "They have a Meal Train and a GoFundMe page, but we wanted to do something a little closer to home so we decided to create a night for the community to come out and give back."

Beginning at 4 p.m., the restaurant will be donating 20 percent of its food sales to the family. In addition, friends and family of the Ferrari's will be selling raffle tickets to benefit the family.

Seating will be on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will not be taken that evening.

“The event starts at 4 p.m. which is just in time for Happy Hour. We’ll be open all night. We normally close at 10, but we’ll stay open later depending on business and volume," said Theresa. "We just want to make the most for this family.”

For the Night of Giving, the restaurant will be offering its full menu in addition to its weekly specials. Its menu features wings and tenders, bar pizza, soups and gigantic greens, handhelds and handcrafted burgers, tavern favorites and pasta, and a special children's menu. Click here for menu details.

The Albertini's are encouraging everyone to come out on Wednesday night and be a part of the Night of Giving.

“Please stop by for great food and to show the Ferrari family that our Wycombe community stands with them,” said the tavern owners.

"I can't imagine anybody losing their entire house. We're here to supply the venue for everyone to come out and support this local family," said Diaz-Albertini.

The restaurant is no stranger to giving back. In fact the sale of several items on its menu, including its famous Lingohocken Firehouse Wings and their spicy hot bam bam pizza, raise funds for the firefighters whose station is located just a few doors down from the tavern.

Since reopening a year ago under the Albertini's management, the Wycombe Tavern & Grille has built a reputation for great food, great drinks and for giving back.
