Authorities have identified the toddler killed in a shooting Monday in Bucks County as 2-year-old Benjamin Austin Smith.

According to information from the Bucks County District Attorney's office, state police were dispatched around 11 a.m. to a home on Kumry Road in Mildford Township for a report that a 2-year-old child had sustained a gunshot wound.
The child was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Quakertown campus, where he succumbed to his injuries, the District Attorney's office said.

Benjamin Austin Smith is the son of Nicholas Wyllie and the shooting happened at his grandparents home, the District Attorney said. His grandparents have been identified as Bob and Joan Rothman.
Early reports indicated the shooting was accidental but further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not provided.
