NEWTOWN, PA — Newtown's own Christina Nelson is featured in the latest video released by Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub.

During the five minute segment, the DA interviews Nelson, the founder of Fuel The Force, a nonprofit that gives back to Bucks County police officers through a community lunch program and gratitude events that honor them for what they do.

Newtown Patch featured Christina and her organization in an August 2022 article, which you can read here. At that time she was working to expand Fuel the Force to the central part of the county and beyond.

Founded in 2022, the mission of Fuel the Force is to be intentional and diligent in showing law enforcement officers the respect and gratitude they deserve for what they give to the community every day.

During their conversation, Christina shares her story with the DA, which began as a simple gesture of appreciation to officers who came into La Stalla Italian Market on Sycamore Street in Newtown where she works. She started buying them lunch.

From there, more area restaurants and businesses contributed to the community lunch program and Fuel the Force was formed.

“This is such a great organization and a worthwhile cause that supports those who serve and protect us,” said Weintraub.
