Burglaries Under Investigation In Upper Makefield
Township police said they believe the burglaries on River Road were committed by the same person(s).
UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Burglars broke into two River Road businesses on Friday, making off with an unknown amount of cash in one case, township police reported.
At 2:42 a.m., police responded to Voltage Bikes in the 1000 block of River Road for an activated alarm. Officers arrived within two minutes and found that someone had forcibly entered the business through the front door.
Police said the burglars had fled the scene before they arrived in an unknown vehicle. An investigation found that the perpetrators left without taking anything from the business.

Later in the day, officers responded to Francisco’s on the River in the 1200 block of River Road, where staff reported that unknown person(s) had forcibly entered the restaurant through the front door.
Following an investigation, police determined that an unknown amount of cash was stolen from the business.

Police believe the burglaries were committed by the same person(s) and both are actively under investigation.
“We are asking that if you live along River Road to please check your surveillance footage for any suspicious vehicles and/or persons during the early morning hours of January,” police said.
