St. Luke’s Episcopal Church to Celebrate Pentecost with Special Worship Service and Open Baptism on May 24, 2026

Newtown, PA — Fr. David Radzik, Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church located at 100 E. Washington St. in Newtown, Pennsylvania, will lead the celebration of the Feast of Pentecost at 10AM on Sunday, May 24, 2026. This special service will include an open baptism, offering those seeking baptism to participate in this meaningful sacrament as part of the church’s observance of Pentecost.

Families and baptismal candidates participating in the Open Baptism are asked to arrive at 9:00 AM for a brief class about the meaning of baptism in the Christian Faith. Please reach out to Fr. Radzik at  stlukesnewtownrector@gmail.com for more information.

The service will also feature choral music centered on William Byrd’s Mass for 3 Voices, led by Cantor and Choir Director, Lee Escandon and Organist Daniel Palko, adding a rich and contemplative musical dimension to the celebration. Known for its beauty, clarity, and reverence, the work will support the worship of the day and reflect the spirit of Pentecost through sacred choral expression.

Pentecost, one of the major feast days of the Christian calendar, commemorates the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church. St. Luke’s invites parishioners, visitors, and the wider community to join in this celebration of faith, music, and renewal.

All are welcome!
