NEWTOWN ROTARY PEDALS FOR PROGRESS COLLECTION — OCTOBER 17
The Newtown Rotary Club will hold its annual Pedals for Progress/Sewing Peace collection on Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m.–noon at the Olde Church of Saint Andrew's parking lot, 135 S. Sycamore Street, Newtown. Community members are invited to donate adult and children's bicycles in repairable condition (no rust) and portable sewing machines in working or repairable condition. A $20 contribution per donated item is requested to help offset transportation and shipping expenses. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available.
