CALLING ALL FUTURE ENGINEERS...Newtown Township Parks and Rec have an upcoming summer camp offering that will be sure to expand your child's mind. Get on it quickly, because spaces are filling up. Please see details below, and as always, one love and thanks for listening Newtown!
Jr Engineers Under Construction Camp (ages 4 - 7)
Put on your hard hats engineers and join us for our Engineering of Cities Construction Camp! In this camp, students work hard to apply their knowledge of construction to save the beach from erosion and build their very own city from the ground up. From roads and tunnels to buildings and skyscrapers, students discover that no job is too tough for an Engineering for Kids engineer! Building a city is more than roads and skyscrapers. Campers will explore civil, mechanical, and environmental engineering and the engineering behind objects they see every day like skyscrapers, roads, tunnels, and even cranes.

Fasten your seat belts, the race has begun! Zero to sixty in two seconds? How fast can an object go without compromising safety? Students in this camp will work with their Pit Crew to design and build vehicles, such as dragsters and hovering levitrons. During the Momentum Madness camp, students will explore four fields of engineering: industrial, electrical, mechanical, and aerospace. They will design and construct vehicles and safety mechanisms that will achieve the fastest speed while still maintaining safe racing conditions.
