Capital Grille Announces 'Generous Pour' Wine Pairing Event

NEWTOWN, PA — The Capital Grille’s summer wine event, "The Generous Pour," is returning for its 17th year at its location in the Philadelphia area.

Now through August 31, "The Generous Pour" offers guests a unique wine-tasting and educational experience curated by the restaurant's sommeliers.

Inspired by the theme “Icons of the Vine,” guests will savor six wines from legendary California producers, including a custom Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon from Jayson by Pahlmeyer, and a brand-new on-premise only release from Orin Swift. The hand-selected wines are expertly paired with The Capital Grille’s signature dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood and more.

Here is this year’s wine lineup:

• The Language of Yes Central Coast “Les Fruits Rouges” Rosé features watermelon, tropical fruits finished with a hint of minerality that makes this light-bodied wine easy to drink.
• Rombauer Vineyards Napa & Sonoma Sauvignon Blanc features bursts of mouthwatering acidity with flavors of grapefruit, kiwi and key lime.
• Rombauer Vineyards Carneros Chardonnay features aromas of ripe peach and melon on the nose, interspersed with bright citrus notes, which are then met by flavors of creamy vanilla and buttery nuances on the finish.
• J Vineyards & Winery Russian River Valley Pinot Noir offers fruit-forward notes of ripe berries, cherry and red fruit layered with hints of cola, rose petal, earth and clove with a touch of oak on the finish.
• Orin Swift “Advice from John” California Merlot is Orin Swift’s latest innovation that is bold, velvety, luscious, and fun.
• Jayson by Pahlmeyer “The Bench” Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon is a plush wine with layers of concentrated dark fruit that is complemented by elegant hints of cocoa- chocolate tannins that unfold with each sip.

For the first time, The Capital Grille is hosting an exclusive giveaway during The Generous Pour. Guests can enter for a chance to win a private, chef-curated dinner for up to five guests at their local Capital Grille.
