DUI Charges Pending Following Route 413 Crash: Newtown Twp. Police Report
In other reports, policed cite a man for retail theft, investigated a hit-and-run and the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests between Oct. 17 and 22:
October 17
- At 7:20 p.m., police were dispatched for a retail theft that occurred at Acme Markets. As a result of an investigation, a man was identified and cited for retail theft.
- At 10:45 p.m., police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a potential hit-and-run and unauthorized use of a vehicle. The incident is under investigation.
October 18

- At 2 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop on the driver of a Ford E-250 work van for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of Second Street Pike and Swamp Road in Wrightstown Township. As a result of the investigation, the driver was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant from the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department and transferred without incident.
October 20
- At 1 p.m., a Wrightstown resident stopped at police headquarters to report the unauthorized use of her vehicle. The incident is under investigation.

- At 7:45 p.m., police were dispatched to Route 413 and Wrights Road for a three-vehicle traffic accident. Upon speaking with one of the drivers, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
