Fire Investigation, One Vehicle Crash: Newtown Township Police Report

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Newtown Township Police Department report the following incidents and arrests:

June 18, 2022

  • At approximately 2:40 a.m. police responded to the area of Princess Drive for the report of a fire. Upon arrival, they discovered a fire in the pool area of the Newtown Community Association. The incident is under investigation.

  • At approximately 11:30 p.m. police responded to the 900 block of Mill Creek Road for a one-vehicle traffic accident. Upon their arrival, they discovered a vehicle had driven off the road, into some brush. While speaking with the driver officers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator was unable to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
