Cheese Tasting, Outdoor Concert, Garden Tour: Your Weekend

GARDEN TOUR

What: Explore four private gardens in Bucks County, which will be open to the public to benefit the Garden Conservancy.

When/where: Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hortulus Farm, 60 Thompson Mill Road, Newtown as well as three other locations. Visit www.opendaysprogram.org for additional locations.

Cost: $5 per garden; children 12 and younger are free. 

GOURMET CHEESE TASTING

What: A tasting event to introduce the new artisan cheeses to be sold at The Tubby Olive in Newtown.

When/where: Sunday from 12 to 2 p.m. at the The Tubby Olive, 17 S. State Street, Newtown.

Cost: Free

SOUNDS OF SUMMER

What: Doylestown’s Sounds of Summer concert series continues with a performance by the Philly Party Band followed by a fireworks show.

When/where: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Central Park, 425 Wells Road, Doylestown. 

Cost: $5 per car. 

SUMMER FILM SERIES

What: “My Neighbourhood,” a Peabody Award winning documentary short, will be screened as the kick off to the Tzedek v’Shalom Summer Film Series.

When/where:  8 p.m. Saturday at George School, 1690 Newtown-Langhorne Road, Newtown

Cost: $5

STORIES WE TELL

What: “Stories We Tell,” written and directed by Sarah Polley, opens this weekend at the County Theater

When/where: Opens Friday with a 4 p.m. screening at the County Theater, 20 East State Street, Doylestown.

What: The newest Disney Pixar movie opens in Newtown

When/where: Opens Friday with a 7 p.m. screening at the Newtown Theatre, 120 N. State Street, Newtown.
