Chesterbrook Academy® Preschool raises $2,100 for Tumor Foundation

After a student's recent diagnosis with NF1, the school held a donation drive and participated in a charity walk for research and awareness.

Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Newtown Square recently donated more than $2,100 to the Children’s Tumor Foundation, an organization funding research and education for Neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder often found in children. To raise money for the nonprofit, students and teachers held a donation drive and participated in a walk organized by the foundation. The school's fundraising efforts were inspired by the recent diagnosis of a student with Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). Through this initiative, students learned the importance of community and helping those in need.
