Lindenhurst Road Closure Extended Through November

Saturday closures are scheduled to begin at the end of this week and continue through the end of November, according to PennDOT.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The contractor installing a new gas line on Lindenhurst Road between Route 332 (Newtown Bypass) and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road) in Upper Makefield and Lower Makefield has extended its closure schedule to the end of November.

The road will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday through the end of November and on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning on Oct. 19 and continuing through the end of November.

According to PennDOT, after all the gas and service work is completed, another contractor will be making permanent repairs to the roadway.

During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Route 332 (Newtown Bypass), Durham Road, and Route 532 (Washington Crossing Road).

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent.
