Council Rock Appoints New Board Member

Council Rock has appointed a new school board member. The board this week voted unanimously to appoint Joseph Hidalgo fill the Region 4 Board seat left vacant in March by the resignation of Wendi Thomas.

Hidalgo was officially sworn in by Judge Petrucci. He start date was effective April 10.

According to information provided by the district, Hidalgo is a Bucks County native. He is married with children currently enrolled in Council Rock School District.

He earned a degree from The University of Delaware and works as a financial advisor. He holds a Chartered Financial Consultant designation from The American College and is a member of the Financial Services Institute.

Hidalgo also volunteers at Maureen M. Welsh Elementary School and serves as a C.C.D. teacher at the New Queen of the Universe Parish. He is a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus and a Gold Circle Member of the VFW. As a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society, Hidalgo sings, competes, and performs at different charitable and public events.
