Council Rock Appoints New School Board Member

There's a new member on the Council Rock School Board. Kristin Marcell has been appointed to fill the Region 9 seat, left vacant after Kyle McKessy's resignation.

Public interviews for the position were held on Thursday. The board appointed Marcell by a unanimous 7-0 vote.

Marcell is a Council Rock School District graduate. She attended Pennsylvania State University, and later earned a Master's degree from George Washington University.

Marcell, a public relations executive, lives in Wrightstown with her husband and two children.

McKessy announced her resignation in July. It was effective Aug. 16.
