Council Rock Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

NEWTOWN, PA — Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Newtown area with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in the Council Rock School District.

The first day of school in Council Rock is Tuesday, Sept. 3 for grades K-6, 7 and 9 with all students reporting on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Here are some of the important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Tuesday, Sept. 3 (Grades K-6, 7 and 9), Wednesday, Sept. 4 (all students)
• Rosh Hashanah (Schools Closed/Offices Open): Thursday and Friday, Oct. 3 and 4
• Diwali (Schools Closed/Offices Open): Friday, November 1
• Election Day (Schools Closed/Professional Development Day): Tuesday, Nov. 5
• No School (Professional Development HS; AM Conferences K-8): Wed., Nov. 27
• Thanksgiving Break (Schools Closed): Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29
