Council Rock Holding School Safety Forum

The forum will feature an overview of the ALICE active shooter prevention program.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District will host a School Safety Community Forum on Tuesday, March 19. The program starts at 7 p.m. and will be held at Newtown Middle School.

The forum will feature an overview of the ALICE active shooter prevention program with a discussion of the District's recent adoption of the safety initiative.

Additionally, Bucks County District Attorney Matthew Weintraub will present information on county-wide safety and security efforts.

The program will also feature Council Rock Director of Operations Doug Taylor, who will discuss Council Rock safety and security planning, and the district's Director of Student Services will talk about mental health provisions.

Council Rock Safety and Security Coordinator Bill Reick will cover the district's partnership with local police.
