Council Rock Marching Band Invitational
Family entertainment, at Council Rock HS Walt Snyder Stadium, at 6pm October 10. Marching bands from 8 local schools will perform.
On October 10, Council Rock North Marching Band will be hosting the 5th Annual marching band competition featuring 7 area bands from Bucks County and New Jersey high schools. . Bands attending include Neshaminy, Central Bucks West, Owen J Roberts (Pottstown, PA), Montgomery (NJ), Sterling (Somerdale, NJ), Pennridge (Perkasie, PA), and Council Rock South. As host, Council Rock North marching band will perform in exhibition. The marching bands regularly perform their shows at high school football games and also compete in various invitationals during the fall season.. Most begin their season in mid-August, spending 8 hour days learning music, marching drills, and visual effects. With the start of school, the shows are perfected in the class room, during afternoon practices and at the football games. Competitions provide parents, family and friends the opportunity to enjoy the spectacle and pageantry of a marching band program and the result of hard work by the participating marching bands.
The CR Invitational is October 10, at 6pm at Walt Snyder Stadium - 62 Swamp Road, Newtown PA. Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for students and seniors. Gates open at 5:45pm, food and beverages are available at the concession stand.
