This Council Rock Principal Slept On The School Roof Last Night
It might sound crazy, but there was a reason why Newtown Middle School Principal Tim Long spent the night on the school roof.

NEWTOWN, PA — A Council Rock principal spent last night sleeping on the school roof.
Newtown Middle School Principal Tim Long retreated to the school roof just around dismissal Tuesday, waving to the children boarding their buses. He then spent more than 15 hours on the roof, where he ate dinner, slept and conducted some television interviews.
And it was all for a good cause.

Long pledged to his students that if they reached a goal of collecting $8,000 for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas, he would sleep on the school roof.
Well they did, so he did.

And he captured much of the night in a series of hilarious YouTube videos, which you can see here.
According to information from school attendance secretary Kit Azzaro, Newtown Middle School has "adopted" Wolfe Elementary School in Katy, Texas, and will be supporting their recovery effort throughout the school year.
According to the school, the $8,000 collected will be used to purchase gift cards so that partners from Wolfe Elementary can buy needed supplies, such as shoes, diapers, cleaning supplies, wipes, soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc.
