Council Rock Ranked 27th Best School District In PA

NEWTOWN, PA — Council Rock has been ranked the 27th best school district in Pennsylvania for 2019-2020.

The ranking was released Monday by data compiler Niche, which analyzes various educational statistics to prepare ratings on both public and private institutions.

Council Rock was the third highest-ranked district in Bucks County, coming in after Central Bucks, which was 8th, and New Hope-Solebury, which was 15th.

Niche gave Council Rock an A+ rating overall. It also received A+ letter grades in the following individual categories: Academics; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs & Activities; and Health & Safety.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (You can read more about the methodology here.)

The top-ranked school district in Pennsylvania is Tredyffrin-Easttown. You can see the top 100 here.

Nearly 50 Niche users have weighed in on the Council Rock School District, providing a variety of feedback and reviews.

"Excellent public school! Provides students with a solid academic foundation to build upon in college and beyond. Great variety of AP and duel enrollment classes to enrich student experience. Nice selection of clubs and athletic teams to choose from to complete HS experience," one reviewer said.

Another said: "This school district did a phenomenal job of preparing me for college and for that I will always be grateful. I was introduced to STEM back when I was in middle school and have gone down down that route all the way through my senior year and now as a college student studying biomedical engineering."
