There will be no presentation on the plan at this week's school board meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 18. "The Board will not meet to vote on a proposed plan on January 25th as previously communicated. We will communicate future dates that pertain to the redistricting process as they become available," the email said.
The plan, which shifts students from several schools, were prepared by the district Redistricting Committee over the course of several months. The committee was made up of two parent representatives from each building, three building administrators, and five central office administrators. According to the district, the committee studied enrollment projections, reviewed community feedback, examined housing information and analyzed building capacity.
