Council Rock Releases Draft of School Calendar for 2015-16
Under the proposed calendar for next school year, the first day of classes for grades K-6, 7 and 9 is Aug. 31.
Council Rock has released a draft calendar for the 2015-16 school year.
The proposed calendar, which is posted to the district’s website, will be discussed by the board during a meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
Under the proposed calendar, the first day of classes for grades K-6, 7 and 9 would be Monday, Aug. 31. All students would report to classes on Tuesday, Sept. 1. Schools would be closed on Labor Day, which is Sept. 7.

Winter break would begin Thursday, Dec. 24. Schools would reopen Monday, Jan. 4, 2016. Spring break is from Monday, March 21 through Friday, March 25.
The last day of school for students would be Thursday, June 16. Five snow days are built into the calendar. If the snow days are not used, they will be deducted from the end of the year.
