Council Rock Schedules Public Hearing On Richboro Middle School Closure

A public hearing has been scheduled regarding the proposed closure of Richboro Middle School.

The Council Rock Board of School Directors announced the hearing will be held March 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chancellor Center.

The school board meeting will follow the hearing.

According to an announcement from the district: "This hearing must be held in order for Richboro Middle School to be allowed to close as a school; following the hearing, a three-month waiting period will ensue before the School Board is permitted to vote on the closure of the school. Opportunity for public comment regarding the potential closure of Richboro Middle School will be provided at the hearing."

The proposed closure would be effective for the 2018-19 school year.
