Council Rock School Board Looks To Fill Upcoming Vacancy

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School Board will be filling an upcoming vacancy, as Jerold Grupp announced in late December his plans to resign.

Grupp, who represents Region #5- Northampton Township, Districts #9, #14, and #16, submitted his letter of resignation on Dec. 20. He will officially resign on Jan. 6. Applications are being accepted to fill the pending vacancy. Candidates must live in Council Rock School District Region #5.

Applications can also be emailed to rfraser@crsd.org. The deadline to apply is Jan. 24.

Letters of interest and any supporting documentation submitted may be distributed to the public and should not include information the applicant considers confidential, the district said.

The board is expected to interview candidates and appoint a new board member at a special meeting on Jan. 31.
