The first bell of the 2015-16 school year will ring before you know it and that means parents need to get their calendars in order.
To help out, we’ve compiled a listing of important dates in the coming year:
Aug. 31: First day of school for K-6, 7&9

Sept. 1: All students report
Sept. 7: Labor Day, schools closed

Sept. 14 & 15: Rosh Hashanah, schools closed
Sept. 23: Yom Kippur,schools closed
Oct. 14: Half day
Nov 3: Election Day, schools closed
Nov. 23 & 24: Half days
Nov. 25-27: Thanksgiving break, schools closed
Dec. 24 - Jan. 1, 2016: Winter break, schools closed
Jan. 18: Martin Luther King Day, schools closed
Feb. 12: Inservice Day, schools closed
Feb. 15: Presidents Day, schools closed
March 11: Half Day
March 21-25: Spring Break, schools closed
April 26: Half Day
May 30: Memorial Day, schools closed
June 16: Tentative last day for students (June 9 if no snow days are used.)
