Council Rock Schools Closed Thursday
A forecast predicting significant snow accumulation has prompted school officials to cancel classes Thursday.

Council Rock School District will be closed Thursday due to snow, school officials announced Wednesday night.
Rain throughout the day Wednesday will switch over to a “steady, accumulating” snow overnight, according to forecasters with the National Weather Service.
Snow accumulations range from a total of 6 to 10 inches throughout the Philadelphia region, with the heaviest amounts along the I-95 corridor, according to forecasters with NBC10.

“To give families time to plan for a school closing, I think it is appropriate to launch this call tonight,” Council Rock Superintendent Mark Klein said in a district-wide email. “Our team will be working tomorrow afternoon and evening to get school facilities ready for our opening on Friday.”
Snow will be heavy at times Thursday and make travel “very hazardous or impossible,” according to the National Weather Service.
