Council Rock SD Subs Could Get $15 Per Day Pay Hike: Report

Officials hope the pay bump will generate more substitute teachers coming to the district, according to reports.

Substitute teachers in the Council Rock School District could see a pay bump if the district's board votes yes on the measure at its upcoming meeting, according to reports.

The district is looking at increasing sub pay from $85 to $100 a day in hopes of attracting more substitute teachers to the district, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

District officials said the 2016 substitute fill rate is 22 percent lower than the fill rate for 2014, the Times reports.
