Council Rock South Band Crowned State Band Champs
CRS came out on top among 26 other bands in the state.
Council Rock South High School's Marching Band is the 2016 U.S. Bands Pennsylvania State Champions, according to Bucks Local News.
The band, led by John Burns, earned the state title with 94.388 points on Oct. 29 at the U.S. Bands Pennsylvania State Championships held at West Chester University, the outlet reports.
Not only did the CRS Marching Band win the Group IV-A State Championship, the band also won the "Award of Excellence," which is awarded by the judges for the most creative and excellent show at the State Championships, as well as awards for Best Visual and Best Music, according to the outlet.

Bucks County Local News reports the band will finish its season by competing in the U.S. Bands National Championships on Sunday, Nov. 6 at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, where the cadets will face more than 20 Group IV-A bands from across the country.
