Council Rock South Given Standing Ovation At The Kimmel Center

NEWTOWN, PA — Here's a video to get you in the holiday mood.

As part of its prize for winning this year's B101 Christmas Choir Competition, the Council Rock South Vocal Ensemble performed its winning song, "Mamba Santa Mamba" during a Philly Pops Holiday Spectacular Concert at the Kimmel Center in Philadelphia.

Under the direction of Corey Axler, the group had the incredible opportunity to perform a half-hour set of holiday music on the Commonwealth Plaza Stage, followed by a live interview with the morning team from B101.

The ensemble's performance of its winning song, “Mambo Santa Mambo,” brought a standing ovation from the sold out crowd.

The group also won $5000, which will be used to help Council Rock students facing financial difficulties the ability to afford and play a musical instrument in the district's music program.
