Council Rock Students to Stay Inside as Search for Gunman Continues
As a precaution, there will be no outdoor recess Tuesday, Council Rock officials announced.

Council Rock students will be kept inside Tuesday as area police continue a search for a gunman wanted in six killings in Montgomery County.
The last reported sighting of Bradley Stone was in Doylestown around 7 p.m. Monday. An overnight search was conducted but Stone was not located. While Council Rock officials acknowledge there have been no reporting sightings of Stone in the Newtown area, the decision to keep children inside is a precaution.
“Council Rock Schools, as a precaution, will be keeping students inside today as police continue to search for the person who was responsible for multiple homicides in Montgomery County. We have been in contact with local police and there is no report or incident that would put this person in our area. Nevertheless, we will continue to be vigilant in our schools. Bus drivers have been alerted to be particularly vigilant during Kindergarten runs and at dismissal,” the district said in an email.
