Council Rock Teacher Wins Outstanding Elementary Art Educator Award

A Council Rock educator has been chosen to receive the 2017 Outstanding Elementary Art Educator Award from the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, the district announced.

Council Rock’s Visual Art Coordinator Beth Lynch has been selected for the annual award from the Pennsylvania Art Education Association, which recognizes outstanding art educators for their exemplary contributions, achievements and service to art education.

"This award is a testament to Beth’s passion for art education and her dedication to promote the arts in Council Rock as well as across the state," the district announced on its website.

Lynch was nominated by her peers, who highlighted her “unceasing efforts and innovative activity in promoting art’s value and importance," the district said.

"As the Visual Arts Coordinator for Council Rock, Beth leads the department in providing exemplary art education to students. Beth and the teachers in the art department showcase student work through the annual district art show as well as other displays throughout Bucks County," Council Rock said on its website.
