Council Rock Youth Lacrosse: Try It!

Is your child in kindergarten through 8th grade and does he/she love fast-paced sports? Well, mine does. When I gave my young daughter a choice of a few activities she could pick for the spring, after showing her a few videos and examples, she chose to try lacrosse. Now, this is a sport that my wife and I have never played and have little knowledge about, but we think it’s great that our daughter wants to try. After signing her up with Council Rock Youth Lacrosse Association (CRYLA) and purchasing the needed gear, we have been introducing ourselves to the game when we can, and what a blast….challenging, but fun.

Last night was the first practice, and I was thoroughly impressed with Coach Sara, kindergarten through 2nd grade coach. She had the kids run through a bunch of structured, but fun drills, and I saw evidence of progress after a short time. While it is difficult to try a new sport, my daughter is taking it in stride. Bottom line is that this is a tough sport to learn, but if last night is any indication of the fun to come, I am confident my daughter may have found a new sport she enjoys.
