Council Rock's Capital Planning Committee Schedules July 10 Meeting

No vote is expected, but further deliberations will occur.

NEWTOWN, PA — The Council Rock School District has scheduled a seventh Master Capital Planning meeting to discuss possible school closures within the district. The meeting will be held on Monday, July 10 at 7 p.m.

The meeting will be held at Chancellor Center and will be televised live on CRTV, as well as livestreamed on the district YouTube channel.

According to an email sent to the school community, two "primary options" will be further discussed. Thos options are: a modified version of the status quo option previously presented and the closure of Rolling Hills Elementary with a 10-room addition to either Richboro Elementary or to Hillcrest Elementary, and also a five-classroom addition to Wrightstown Elementary.

There will be no vote during the July 10 meeting, according to an announcement from the district.

"Provided the Board reaches consensus on one direction moving forward, the Board will vote at the July 20th Board meeting to authorize the administration to proceed with planning in that direction," the announcement said.
