COUNCIL ROCK'S DREW MUSTO IS GNEC'S STUDENT OF THE YEAR
Council Rock North Student Drew Musto receives the Greater Newtown Exchange Club's Student of the Year award at a June 25 ceremony
Recent Council Rock North graduate Drew Musto took top honors at a Greater Newtown Exchange Club (GNEC) June 25 award ceremony where he received GNEC’s Student of the Year award. This coveted award and accompanying monetary gift is awarded annually to a winning student selected from GNEC’s Student of the Month award winners. The win signifies the epitome of the winning student’s academic achievements, social outreach and service to others. The award was presented by GNEC’s Elizabeth Soucar.
Musto was Captain of the CR North Debate Team and served as President for his school’s chapters of the National Honor Society, Kick Off Mentoring Program, and Mathletes. A National Merit Commended Scholar, Musto received the Harvard Prize Book Award and National Spanish Exam Honorable Mention. He was an active member of Future Business Leaders of America, Science National Honor Society, and Rho Kappa National Honor Society. Recent awards and scholarships include Council Rock High School’s Faculty Award, a George Gilbert Memorial Scholarship, a Newtown Middle School Memorial Scholarship and a Bob Rabberman Scholarship..
Musto’s community service included summer mission trips with the Newtown Presbyterian Church, volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County and Special Olympics, and various National Honor Society projects, including raising funds for Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

He has been accepted to a number of competitive universities, including Cornell and Notre Dame. He aspires to study both engineering and philosophy in college.
