Counterfeit Cash, Drugs Lands Three In Jail: Upper Makefield Police
Three individuals from New York and Virginia are facing charges after police discovered counterfeit cash and drugs in their car.

UPPER MAKEFIELD, PA — Three individuals from New York and Virginia are facing serious charges after police discovered counterfeit cash, marijuana and synthetic marijuana inside their car.
While officers were on the scene of an accident on Tuesday at Windy Bush Road and Street Road, a Kia Forte traveled through the scene at a high rate of speed and failed to comply with the
move over law coming within a couple feet of striking an officer.
The officers attempted to stop the vehicle and a short vehicle pursuit ensued with the driver eventually stopping on Windy Bush Road near Alexander Court, police said.

An investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for DUI and related offenses.
As officers continued their investigation, they recovered $5,820 in counterfeit U.S. currency, marijuana, synthetic marijuana and related paraphernalia from the vehicle. Additionally, officers discovered that one of the passengers had seven outstanding warrants from Iowa.

The U.S. Secret Service was contacted and assisted officers in their investigation.
All three individuals were arrested by police and taken into custody.
Charges were filed for criminal conspiracy, forgery, drug related charges, and tampering with evidence with the driver facing the additional charges of DUI, fleeing and eluding, and related traffic offenses.
All three were arraigned before District Justice Petrucci and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
