County Approves Funding for New Playground at Veterans Park
Noah's Playground, named in honor of a local baby who passed away from SIDS, will be located at Veteran's Park.

Construction of a new playground at Veteran’s Park will likely begin this spring, now that the Bucks County Commissioners have approved matching funds for the project, Newtown Township Parks and Recreation Board Chairman Andrew Levine said.
The new playground will be called Noah’s Playground in honor of a baby from Newtown Township who was eight weeks old when he passed away in 2010 from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
“This will be a wonderful inclusive playground located just behind Newtown Elementary School,” Levine said in an email to Patch.

Noah Cohen’s parents, Natalie and Jason Cohen, have raised about $60,000 to put towards the playground. The county is providing matching funds under Newtown’s Open Space bond allocation to help make the project a reality.
Newtown Township worked with the Cohen family to design the playground.
