Couple Enjoys Magical Newtown Theatre Proposal

How sweet is this?

NEWTOWN, PA — Love was in the air recently at the Newtown Theatre, which served as a sweet backdrop for a couple's December engagement.

Brett Griffith and Toni Valentini were engaged at the historic theater on State Street on Dec. 20.

To make the occasion extra special, Griffith rented out the theatre and invited the pair's families to see a Christmas movie.

While the guests were getting popcorn and watching credits, the couples' parents decorated the area underneath the lights outside the theatre.

"The homemade video on the big screen and romantic area in front of the theatre made for the perfect plan to surprise and ask the perfect girl to marry me," Griffith said in an email recounting the evening.

Griffith praised the theater's employees, saying they "could not have been more accommodating, and I could not ask for a better place to propose."

He continued: "This proposal was truly special, and it was a night we’ll never forget!"
