Holstein, Sheep Shows, And Lots More At Today's Grange Fair In Wrightstown

WRIGHTSTOWN, PA — Thursday was a huge day at the fair. From morning to evening, the fairgrounds on Penns Park Road bustled with people as they visited the animal barns, watched the tractor parade, enjoyed a chicken dinner and watched a thrill show set aboard a pirate ship.

Today, sheep and Holstein cows will be front and center as they compete in the 4-H show arena. The Bucks County Holstein Show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. while the sheep are scheduled to compete between 4 and 8 p.m.

And don't miss the 4-H Reptile Show, which is scheduled to slither into Building 2 from 3 to 6 p.m.

The day’s schedule also includes horse-drawn wagon rides by Hutch Hamilton from A Better Way Farms, a tractor pull test and true, the Tractor Parade of Power, and opportunities to watch the Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean Thrill Show, a chainsaw carving demonstration, a round bale roll, and the tractor pull prelims.

Don't miss the large buildings brimming with community and 4-H exhibits, including tables filled with freshly-grown vegetables and fruit. See who won this year's blue ribbons and Grange Fair bragging rights.

And take some time out on Thursday to enjoy the Grange Fair's popular chicken dinner. It will be served from 3 to 8 p.m. in the fair's dining hall.

Today At The Fair

Weather Forecast: Partly sunny and less humid with a high near 89. Northwest wind around 6 mph.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Animal Shows: 4-Holstein Show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the show arena. The 4-H Sheep Show from 4 to 8 p.m. in the show arena. And a 4-H Reptile Show from 3 to 6 p.m. in Building 2.
Live Shows: Chainsaw carving at 10:30 a.m., 1:30, 5, and 7 p.m., and Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean Thrill Show at 4 and 8 p.m.
Other Activities: Wagon rides by A Better Way Farm. Hay Bale Roll. Tractor Pull Test and Tune. And the Tractor Pull Prelims.
Tractor Parade of Power: 6 to 7 p.m.
Chicken Dinner: Served from 3 to 8 p.m. or until sold out at the dining hall.
Amusement Rides: Amusement rides open at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 12 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Admission: Free. There is a $20 per car fee for parking, which benefits the Lingohocken Fire Company and the Bucks County Police Benevolent Association.

Rules: Dogs will not be allowed unless it is a service dog. This is for the safety of the public, the exhibitors, and the livestock at the fair. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are permitted on Grange property. No vulgar language or behavior is permitted on Grange property. And all children must be supervised by an adult.
