NEWTOWN, PA — Dance Del Bello will return to the stage at Bucks County Community College with a seasonal favorite, "A Christmas Carol: The Ballet."

The performance will take place Sunday, Nov. 15, at 3 p.m. at the Zlock Performing Arts Center, located on the college's Newtown Campus at 275 Swamp Road.

The acclaimed adaptation will bring Charles Dickens' classic holiday ghost story to life through a beautiful, high-spirited performance that blends elegant choreography with narrative drama.

The production features the evocative music of composer Benjamin Britten and original choreography by the late Philadelphia Ballet principal dancer David Kloss, under the direction of artistic director Delphine Del Bello Spencer.

“We are thrilled to bring this beautiful ballet version of 'A Christmas Carol' to the stage,” said Del Bello Spencer. “David Kloss’s choreography captures the spirit of Dickens’ message — that kindness and generosity have the power to transform lives.”

Spencer said the company’s dancers will capture the heart of Dickens’ story through expressive choreography, dramatic staging, and rich visual storytelling.

According to Spencer, the ballet follows the transformative journey of Ebenezer Scrooge as he is visited by the spirits of Christmas past, present, and yet to come. The company’s dancers will capture the heart of Dickens’ story through expressive choreography, dramatic staging, and rich visual storytelling, while costumes and lighting bring Dickens’ world to vivid life, she said.

Over the years, Kloss' choreographic interpretation has earned distinct praise, notably from Cedric Dickens — the great-grandson of Charles Dickens — who personally lauded the production in a letter to the company as "a brilliant interpretation, a very happy occasion.""A Christmas Carol is sure to warm your heart and lift your spirits," said Del Bello Spencer.

Attendees are invited to attend a holiday reception immediately following the performance. Tickets, priced at $17 to $35, are available at eventbrite.com/e/a-christmas-carol-tickets-2003209379178
